ANGLES IN LIFE
A stage and film production
Questioning the concept of reality
“we don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are”
‘Angles In Life’ is a dance and film project led by choreographer, Laura Vanhulle.
Set against the urban landscape of Birmingham, one of the most culturally diverse cities in the UK, cutting-edge photography and filmmaking examine perspectives on life and human differences.
Camera angles, vivid imagery, optical illusion and dynamic editing move between illusion and real life.
‘Angles In Life’ looks back on shared lives. Set against a foreboding original score, two people are drawn into battle recounting different versions of their lived reality: their relationship, lost youth, perceptions of each other and self-realisation of who they are or could be.
